Catalog Direction and Design

Creating extensive seasonal catalogs for wholesale accounts all over the world to purchase from leading global organizations.

As Creative Marketing Graphic Designer,

Creating seasonal catalogs for RVCA for season's Fall 2018 to Holiday 2020. Printed copies available upon request.

Scheduling a seasonal calendar working from receiving samples to print date. This entails working with product developers to retrieve samples and get them into the photo studio, steamed and photo ready.

Photoshoot production: Hiring models, providing model releases and invoices to accounting to get them paid. Working with the photographer's schedule.

Post photoshoot: Making selects of the imagery. Image labeling to the required naming convention. Treating imagery in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Making image and color corrections to ensure that the product looks the way it will be received by the consumer.

Layout: Gathering all product info form product developers and rewriting all of the product descriptions. Ensuring that all products are shot and placed where they need to be in the catalog.

Marketing: Working with the Art Director to achieve an agreed upon look for marketing imagery to be shown through out the catalog from the seasonal campaign and special collection photoshoots.

Pre-Press: Ensuring all imagery within the catalog is print ready by checking all image modes and PPI settings for the printer and working directly with the printer to ensure that the print job is of the highest quality and catalogs will be received in-house by the desired due date for the sales team to be ready to hit the road.

Below are just a few of the many catalogs I created over the years with RVCA. Some 200+ pages.

Pages

Below is a glimpse of some pages.

As Apparel Marketing Manager (Creative Direction),

Introducing a catalog process to Thrasher Magazine was the start. Creating a platform to develop apparel stories and communicate them to US & international buyers. Thrasher's apparel business is one of the very greatest in the action sports industry and has only continued to grow since the development of wholesale story-telling in spite of the hardships retailers have faced over recent years. Before these Thrasher did not sell with catalogs but only single iPhone photos of t-shirts folded on a parking lot.
